I love doing residential interior photography. I especially love working with interior designer Andrea Orndorff of A. Lynn Design. She has a love of elegant, handsome, masculine spaces, and her detail orientedness is unmatched.
My assistant Val and I arrived in Garrison to a beautiful stone home. We called in and got buzzed in through the gate, and were greeted by Andrea and Trish Albano, who was helping Andrea style the rooms for our shoot. The weather was a bit overcast, but that worked beautifully for our residential interior photography, as the lighting was soft and dreamy, like the interiors being photographed.
I love the mixture of traditional with some glam touches. The mix of textures in the design was a highlight to me. The lovely woodwork really helped give the home permanence, and the rough hewn kitchen table added a farm to table vibe to a beautiful neutral palette in the kitchen. This residential interior photography project is one of my favorites this year.
